Launching an integrated network in the gas company of Khorasan province
Client: Khorasan Gas Province Gas Company – Mashhad city
Technological challenge
Mashhad Gas Company, as one of the leading organizations, went to Guyana in 2009 to implement a decentralized VoIP network. The offices of Mashhad Gas Company were geographically distributed throughout the city. The telephone centers of each office were developed as islands and based on analog or digital technology, and there was no possibility of integrated dialing between the centers. Due to the high frequency of calls between the branches and the head office, the call cost of the organization was very high. The maintenance cost and service time to these non-homogeneous centers were high due to various reasons including geographical distance.
In the central office, a digital call center had 2000 active numbers and needed to be expanded. Some units of the organization needed value-added capabilities that the PCM/TDM call center could not implement. For example, the security unit needed a sound box that had to be purchased, set up and maintained as an island. For the 1944 system, it was also necessary to prepare a call queue system and service management tools.
Guyan's solution
In Guyana, we first integrated a GHX-1000 mid-capacity exchange with a digital telephone exchange. In this way, we saved a lot on the purchase of server and phone equipment. With the help of this product, the development plan of the central office was carried out, and value-added services such as the security voice box were carried out without the need to spend money and purchase peripheral equipment.
In the second step, 194 call queue and customer communication unit were launched. After the operational implementation, the needs of the call queue management and operators of the gas company were transferred to the Guyana company, and in an exemplary cooperation and cooperation, these capabilities were specialized according to the request.
In the next step, 7 GHX-SOHO servers were installed and launched for gas company branches. Then these 7 branches were integrated with the central branch through a GTX transit switch.
Result
With the introduction of the Guyana VoIP network solution in Mashhad Gas Company, the need for development was fulfilled with the lowest cost, the island network was integrated, and the added value services and call queue were improved.
